ZONE CONTROL WITH DUCTLESS MINI-SPLITS
Ductless mini-splits are the most common type of air-source heat pumps due to their simplicity and relatively low upfront costs. We install 3 main components for each heat pump:

An outdoor compressor which facilitates the transfer of heat;

The indoor unit which houses the evaporator and blower;

Copper tubing which carries refrigerant between the outdoor and indoor units.
With this simple set up, we can add heat pumps virtually anywhere they are needed within a home. This means that if you have a room that gets a lot of use, but not a lot of heat from your furnace, we can install a heat pump in it with its own thermostat. Regulating your home’s temperature on a zone by zone basis (keeping living areas warm and sleeping areas cool) not only improves in home comfort but also improves efficiency. Rather than increasing your entire home’s temperature, you can choose to increase or decrease each area separately.
